Does health insurance cover laser hair removal for medical reasons?

Category : Health Insurance

I have had facial hair growth due to medical condition (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome). I wonder if health insurance companies might cover at least part of the cost for laser hair removal. Has anyone had this type of experience?

Is it hard for a transsexual person to get life insurance?

Category : Life Insurance

I’m going to be a hairdresser, so I am going to have to buy my own life insurance. Hairdressing is basically being self employed, and you have to give yourself benefits. Insurance doesn’t cover my hormone therapy or my surgeries, because they don’t recognize my condition, but will I have trouble getting life insurance because I am transsexual? And if they don’t recognize being transsexual as a medical condition when you are covered, can they really refuse you for having a pre existing condition of transsexuality when you are not covered?

Which companies offer life insurance to clients who have chronic health problems?

Category : Life Insurance

I am 37 years old with a diagnosis of lupus (not flaring) with a history of minor kidney involvement, deep vein thrombosis, and high blood pressure. I have been trying to get life insurance but have been consistently denied by the major companies to which I have applied. Does anyone have any suggestions? The only suggestion I received from one company was the hint to purchase Accidental Death and Disability, and if my medical condition worsened, to "have an accident". I am hoping for better advice.

How should I start going to the doctor – Received Health Insurance after 7 years with none?

Category : Health Insurance

An odd question, but stay with me: I haven’t had any health insurance for 7 years. Now, finally with a wonderful new job, my excellent health insurance benefits start tomorrow. There is so much that I need. When should I go to the doctor? I’m posititive they will find little things that I have had for a long time, but done nothing about – will they determine it to be a pre-exsisting condition? I mean, if I go the first day of my insurance, they will know that I had this medical condition before my insurance was in place – does that make a difference? I don’t know how it works. Thanks!

Is there something I can do about this medical insurance issue?

Category : Medical Insurance

I have a pre existing medical condition which is very expensive to treat. I am currently going through a divorce. Presently I am still on my ex’s medical insurance. I don’t have my own because I work independently. My ex is trying to kick me off her insurance. I understand her right to do so but is there some law that could help postpone this for a while considering my circumstance. I may not be able to buy insurance because of my illness. Then I will have to cease treatment which could kill me.

If someone is overweight and have high blood pressure, can they get medical insurance?

Category : Medical Insurance

If a person is overweight and have high blood pressure can they get medical insurance. They are on blood pressure medicine. Would that be an immediate denial of insurance due to the high blood pressure being pre-existing.

Also, if a person has medical insurance and has been diagnosed with a medical condition can the insurance company suddenly drop them from the insurance.

thanks.

What would happen if you applied for life insurance and made a false statement on the application?

Category : Life Insurance

For instance, if you said you didn’t have a pre-existing medical condition when actually you did. I currently have a Life Insurance policy that has been in effect for about 30yrs. But I wasn’t truthful when I applied. What is likely to happen upon my death?

Can anybody give me guideline regarding medical insurance policies for people travelling to united states?

Category : Medical Insurance

There are many traveler’s insurance but they do not seem to cover if the traveler has some past medical condition such as diabetes etc. Particularly, if something happens because of the pre-existing condition, most of these insurance policies do not cover anything.
