My father is 55, unemployed for 9+ months with no options from his previous employer. He has no debt and owns his own home free and clear. He has limited future employment options and lacks the cash to pay for his own health insurance. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I am planning to have family health insurance in these days but I want to understand the basic difference between individual and family health insurance.

I am in the process of buying a home and need to get home insurance and I came across the cheapest I have found so I need to know if anyone knows how their standards of practice are. Please let me know as soon as possible so that I can either stop or keep looking.

My family and I are going on a year long trip across the US, NZ, Australia, Singapore and Europe before coming back home to the UK. Does anyone know the best insurance option? Separate policies for each country or one policy to cover 12 months? Most family policies are ‘multitrip’ and these are not suitable as we are travelling continuously (and independently). My kids are 6,7 and 3, so obviously we need great medical insurance. Please help!

I’m a successful part time entrepreneur in California, but I maintain my day job because of the group health insurance they offer. I’d like to cut the apron string and go out completely on my own, but the insurance situation holds these plans hostage.
I don’t want to buy private health insurance, I would like to structure my one man business so that I can easily purchase group health insurance for myself and family. I’d like to purchase group insurance as opposed to private insurance so that I don’t have to deal with preexisting conditions and riders, etc. Since I’m still a sole proprietor, I have plenty of leeway in regards to business structure, and I’m willing to change whatever is necessary to get the best deal possible.
How can I get health insurance for myself and family and pay for it as business expense without employees?

My husband lost his job and we’re down to nothing. I know it isn’t a good idea to cash out a pension but we have to feed the kids somehow. We’ve thought about cashing out his pension from his former employer but are worried the kids will lose medical insurance (medicaid) and the only job he has been able to find (his current job) is only part time so no medical insurance is offered. We live in Minnesota.

The reason i ask is because the life insurance company, IEHP, says my family does not qualify 4 life insurance and medical because we (or they) get too little on life insurance and too much on medical.

I am on a crusade to help families become properly protected (create an immediate estate) in case of a loved ones untimely death. Of lately, prospects see life insurance as another bill. Although it is; can any life insurance agent please share with me how they get around to making sales in the life insurance industry? Thank you.
